"When I entered Willow Towers, I immediately knew it was the place for my uncle. There was a sense of liveliness and love upon walking in that I hadn’t felt in other facilities. My uncle was a resident there for five years, and these beautiful qualities did not waver once. They have the most wonderful people working there. I am also grateful to my uncle, who, through him, gave me the opportunity to meet these beautiful people and maintain a beautiful friendship with them.

Every staff member consistently showed my uncle the utmost respect, love, and concern for his health and wellbeing. What a wonderful facility Willow Towers is!"

"10 stars! United Hebrew is a wonderful facility! United Hebrew is encouraging and helping my mom fight. Everyone on staff smiles and takes great care. They actually care about people. The food is much better than most. I feel my mom has some hope here. I know she is in caring hands and will be properly cared for. I feel like I'm doing right by my mom.

United Hebrew is a happy place for tough times. Forever grateful."

Sandra Forman

"Thank you to the staff at United Hebrew for the excellent care of both of my parents. I had a very positive experience on all fronts. The facility is lovely and the medical and nursing staff above average. My father was the medical director of a nursing home all of his life before he retired.

In the end, it is the care that matters most, along with a kind administrative staff and social workers. That is United Hebrew."

Kathleen Condon

"Please let me thank the recreation department and everyone on the fifth floor of United Hebrew’s Skalet Pavilion for taking such incredible care of my dad in his most vulnerable last days.

I can’t begin to convey how appreciative I am and will always be.

Besides the gentle and expert care you provided, I especially appreciated that you made room for his idiosyncrasies as much as you were able. I know that this raised his quality of his life immeasurably. Please accept my heartfelt thanks."

Karen Roach

"My Mom first came to United Hebrew during the Covid crisis. Your facility was the only one that would accept her at the time. She came home seven weeks later, back on her feet and ready to rejoin the world. Last year, after another health crisis, she returned to United Hebrew, depressed and unable to walk. We felt totally hopeless and broken due to her declining health, but we were at United Hebrew, which has a 5-star rating that should be at least a 12.

Every member of her care team, from nurses to social workers and cleaning staff, were a blessing. During my Mom’s last days, she had ongoing visits from staff who brought smiles, patience, and positive energy.

They play an important role in the lives of their patients and families. I think of the kindness my Mom was showed daily and I will always carry it with me. We will always sing your praises."

Kathleen Smith and Maureen Smith Waters

"Our family would like to extend our gratitude to the staff at United Hebrew of New Rochelle for the excellent care of our beloved father and husband.

Over the past three years we visited him frequently, first, at Willow Towers Assisted Living, and later, the nursing home. We always found him to be well cared for and happy. The entire staff in both facilities could not have served as better caregivers. During a difficult period in his life, it was an enormous comfort to us to know that he was in such a caring place."

Mary Beth Hall-DeRaffele

"After developing an infection at home and falling ill, my mother went to United Hebrew for a five-week stay in the short-term rehabilitation center. She returned home stronger, and happier.

She was so comfortable there. Her therapists were amazing and the equipment was fantastic.

The exercises helped her regain strength. They not only trained my mom, but they showed my sister, who lives with her, on how to get in and out of bed and a car. She was able to handle practical daily living skills when she went home. The entire staff of nurses, aides, and therapists gave her comfort. They brought her the sandwich she liked, they complimented her on her hair. They treated her like family. She’s been in many other facilities, but this one was a great experience. She still talks about and misses her ‘friends’!"

"My mother lived at United Hebrew for eight months before she passed away. UH, as our family members would fondly call her new home, did not disappoint, and exceeded our expectations in regard to mom’s care. I would like to take this opportunity to express my family’s great appreciation for the staff, which is what made the care stand out. Two highly-trained and experienced CNA’s were assigned to care for mom, and that care was not an easy task. I feel as if we won the lottery with these two!

What impressed me the most was they way they handled my mother’s difficult degenerative disease with the utmost respect and dignity.

In addition, I would also like to express my gratitude to the Unit Clerk. His calmness and unfailing courtesy towards our whole family, whether in person or over the phone, was greatly appreciated.

I always knew mom was safe.

United Hebrew is full of skilled and and caring professionals. Their warmth and kindness kept us on an emotional even keel."

Feng Liu, M.D., Ph.D.

"I have a full heart of gratitude for Joanna Apillanes, the nurse at United Hebrew who has cared for my mom, Helen Hsu, for the past two years. My gratitude also extends to Dr. Cirillo and the entire team of nurses and nursing aides. The past 6 months have been the most difficult time for my mother and me. My mom is suffering from amnesia, paralysis and aphasia. It is a challenging job to care for her. The sadness and anxiety brought about by the separation between us has made my mom’s care more difficult. However, Joanna and her team have continued working hard to take care of my mom’s needs and to keep my mom safe from the deadly Covid-19 and from different kinds of health problems. Joanna is always so warm, caring, patient, and understanding during our every interaction, on phone or in person. She creates and carries out plans to address my requests and concerns.

Her excellent knowledge, experiences, leadership skills and empathy have earned my full trust. I am so grateful to her and to all the nurses and nursing aides (especially the loving and caring Angela Hall) for keeping my mom alive with dignity and comfort so she can reunite with her children and grandchildren.

I am also in debt to Dr. Cirillo who is an excellent physician with profound medical knowledge and experiences and superb clinical skills that have made it possible for my mom to get best quality medical care. I just want to express my deep gratitude to those who risk their own safety to keep others safe."

"Words are not enough to express our thanks for the care and love provided by the staff at United Hebrew.

The amazing quality of what you gave to our loved ones is equally important as what you have given to our family at home. We received an amazing amount of love and care from so many who have touched us and been a source of inspiration. We are so grateful for being in the United Hebrew community. United Hebrew has given our loved ones a quality of life and dignity that could never be repaid. We are always amazed at what the staff does there. Over the past 8 years we have made many wonderful relationships with residents and staff. We are looking forward to the days ahead when we can all return to United Hebrew Home."

Amy Lingg

"Because of my job as social worker, I have extensive knowledge of nursing homes in Westchester and Fairfield counties.

Our mom and family are eternally grateful that she is at United Hebrew.

We have experienced deep kindness, care and communication from administration, beloved and trusted nurses and aides, and the staff “buddy” Jennifer who calls us weekly to give personal updates after spending some time with our mom. Thank you to everyone at United Hebrew!"

Adrian McClafferty

"You’re always so great with calling and sharing information about my mom and connecting us with FaceTime.

We love and appreciate all that you are doing!

We look forward to the day that we can come see our mom, but until then, we know she is in good hands. Stay safe and healthy. God bless you all!"

Julia Coleman

"I would like to thank you for making the virtual visit with mom, Beatrice Love. I had a wonderful visit. It brought tears to my eyes. I was just so thankful to be able to see her. It meant so much to me. I also want to let you know how much I appreciated Kim [musical activities director] She was so patient, compassionate and thoughtful. This young lady is a gem. Your facility is blessed to have her. My heart was truly overwhelmed.

Thanks to each and every one of you for what you do to keep our loved ones safe.

Please be safe and take care of your families as well as yourself. God bless you all."

Lenore Goldsmith

"Thank you so much for all your information.

I feel very happy that my sister Marsha is at United Hebrew.

Hoping everyone stays healthy."

Jeannie Campbell

"Thank you to the many wonderful members of the entire Willow Towers staff. I cannot imagine what it is like for you all every day.

I am grateful every minute of every day that my mother is with you where I know she is lovingly cared for and comfortable.

Thank you all!"

Sandra Forman

"Thanks to you and your staff for all that you are doing.

This is a truly uphill battle to keep people safe and I feel sure that there is not any more that you can do. With both of my parents in your care, this a very personal experience for me. I see what you are all accomplishing under terrible stress. People have to stop for a moment in this intense time and realize that they cannot just worry about their loved ones, but that they must also show concern, compassion, understanding, and patience with all of you. I will always support all of you."

Elizabeth Meehan

"My family are grateful for the care you are providing to my sister, Lyn."

Karen Marinaccio

"Five stars is a well-deserved rating!

United Hebrew is certainly earning those stars in our current climate. Thank you for all you do. Be safe!"

Michelle Fry-Boggi

"Thank you so much for your emails and everything you and the staff are doing for our loved ones.

I knew this was a wonderful place when my dad first arrived, but during this epidemic it makes me realize even more how amazing, caring and professional the staff and everyone is at Willow Towers. Stay safe and be well."

Debi Cacace

"My mom, Connie Taormina, asked me to send you a note to tell you that she is very grateful for how well Willow Towers is taking care of her and the other residents at this time. It is frustrating for her not to have visits from me, but she understands that it is for her protection.

Thank you again from my mom and thank you from me for all your efforts to keep the residents safe.

Please stay safe yourselves!"

Patricia Q. (via Yelp)

"During this very trying time, we are so glad our mom is at United Hebrew. They have been able to keep her safe and engaged.

The staff, especially Joann, have been wonderful in their care of our mom and very receptive to all our questions and concerns.

They have been able to keep residents safe, despite being very close to the epicenter of this terrible virus. Thank you, United Hebrew staff, for all you do for your residents, from all of Alice’s very thankful children!"

Scott Widder

"I just wanted you to know what an amazing staff you have and what an outstanding job they do on a daily basis.

My mother, Dvora Stillman, has been at United Hebrew for several years now and has been cared for every day by incredible people who put their heart and soul into their jobs. During this difficult time we all need to work together so please let me know what I can do to help. Thank your caregivers for me and tell them they are in my thoughts and prayers. All the best."

Mary Porretto

"I am missing my mom [during the COVID-19 crisis] but I am so happy that the nursing home is taking such precautionary measures."

Paul Gross, MD

"My mother received loving care at United Hebrew. She was an affectionate person, very sensitive, and staff took great pains to show her warmth and kindness. My wife and I visited my Mom every Sunday evening, and it made such a difference to us to see her in good spirits, and to see the genuine affection shown to her by the nursing staff. And as we shared a meal in the common area, it was so gratifying when the art or music therapist would stop by to say hello and tell us how much they enjoyed my Mom.

I can’t tell you how many times I heard my mother say “I love you” to members of your staff.

During her final years, she never forgot who we were, and never lost her sense of humor or affectionate nature. I’m sure the care she received had a lot to do with that, and I’m grateful to everyone who looked after her and nurtured her."

Anna Valente

"I have both my Dad and my Mom at United Hebrew. My Dad came in for short-term rehab; my mom joined him later as she needed the extra care. It took a bit to get things sorted out; the staff made sure their needs were taken care of. No one wants to put their loved ones in a nursing facility. But there comes a time when choice is not an option. I have positive things to say about United Hebrew: it’s a very clean and accommodating facility. The doctors, nurses and all of the staff are very good and attentive to the patients’ needs. It’s very important to be involved and keep an open communication with all. I’m very grateful for everyone’s care to my parents. A special thanks to Ron, Claudette (my parents’ morning aide), Krystal for all her help, and to the many people that are involved (too many to name) in my parents’ care.

Your dedication and work in elderly care is a special gift from God!

Thank you for caring ! Blessings to all."

"We recently had to make the hard, emotional decision to place our mom in a nursing home. I am familiar with many local facilities through my job. United Hebrew is truly top of the line! It’s sparkling clean, bright and cheerful. There are lovely sitting rooms, activity areas, and a gorgeous courtyard off the lobby, adjacent to a lovely little café where residents and guests can get sandwiches and salads. From the wonderful admissions staff to the terrific and incredibly knowledgeable finance manager, our first interactions were reassuring and friendly. The nurses and aides are quickly responsive and very kind. There are many varied activities during the day.

We are lucky and grateful that our mom is here.

Sure, it’s a difficult adjustment for her, but everyone has shown empathy and interest and are doing a wonderful job of helping her through the changes. Thank you United Hebrew!"

Victoria A.

"Excellent nursing home, rehab, and assisted living facility! I have had three grandparents experience three different facilities on United Hebrew’s campus. The staff is incredible.

The place is super clean, and they always have something going on. Everyone is friendly and makes you feel like family.

They make your loved ones feel like they are their own. We are grateful for UH. Thank you."

Joan B.

"I am eternally grateful for everyone who cares for my mom at United Hebrew.

For 50 years, I knew exactly how my mother preferred things. Now you are the ones who know her best! Thanks for all that you do."

Jeannette R. (via Yelp)

"After my mother kept falling, my supervisors where I work told me I must get her into United Hebrew where their family member had gone and had wonderful care. After being transferred from UH’s rehab to the full time Skilled Nursing Facility, the continued occupational and physical therapy have been very helpful. Her aides, nurses, and social worker are very attentive, and my mother’s quarterly pre-operative procedures for her urological stent change are excellent. She really enjoys Music with Anna, being on the Resident Committee, Bingo, reading her books, and time with the Pet Therapy Dogs.

I recommend United Hebrew for anyone looking for excellent care for an elderly loved one."

Renee M.

"I spent three weeks at United Hebrew for short-term rehab following reconstructive knee surgery. The care from the nursing, PT, and OT staff was excellent. And the huge private room was a plus.

From what I have seen, all of your patients are treated with nothing but outstanding care.

Thank you, United Hebrew. If I ever have to have rehab again, I will be back!"

Diana D.

"Placing my mother into a nursing facility was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. From the moment I met Quinetta Padgett, Mom’s assigned social worker, I felt relief. She was warm and understanding.

All of the staff have made me feel confident that my mother is in the best of hands.

I have come to know them not just as my mother’s caretakers, but as friends. I am grateful for their service. No facility goes the extra mile for a patient like the staff at United Hebrew."

Sue G.

"My mom was a resident here for almost two years. The nurses, doctor, and aides were all wonderful.

She received excellent care and was treated like family.

I visited her several times a week, and when I arrived, I’d always find her in the recreation room: singing, chatting, or engaged in activity. My family and I are extremely grateful that she was at United Hebrew, and we would highly recommend it to others."

Arthur G. (via Yelp)

"After my 92 year old mother-in-law had surgery to repair her fractured femur, we began a frantic search for a rehabilitation hospital for her to receive the best care. We wanted the most empathetic and well trained physical and occupational therapists plus a caring medical team of professionals. We found all of our requirements at United Hebrew of New Rochelle. My Mother-in-law spent over a month relearning how to walk and after spending time with many of the Rehabilitation-trained therapists, she departed the facility in much better shape than she was in prior to her injury! United Hebrew provides valet parking which makes visiting a pleasure. They employ friendly and professional security staff that provide guests with a comforting smile when you enter their lobby. I was especially impressed with Matthew who was often sitting behind the desk when we walked in. Matthew also greeted us with a smile and patiently helped us sign in using their computer system.

The nurses and social work staff were very helpful and went out of their way to provide the kind of loving and professional care that made my mother-in-law’s transition to their center and recovery a positive experience.

On the first few days after her admission, Michael Joseph Bobrowski, Director of Social Work, would sit with her, by her bedside, and make sure that she was adjusting to United Hebrew’s environment. While my wife and I had never heard of this facility prior to this experience, I’m now a great advocate of recommending United Hebrew to our friends who are looking for short term and long term care."

Grace O.

"This was our first experience at United Hebrew and what a great one it was! The staff was wonderful, knowledgeable, and available.

My mother was treated with dignity and respect, and her every need was responded to.

The facility is well-kept, and the PT staff did wonders. I highly recommend United Hebrew!"

Mindy B. (via Yelp)

"I cannot say enough wonderful things about United Hebrew of New Rochelle. The care — of the nursing staff, the medical staff, the physical therapy department and everyone in between — is caring, compassionate and highly skilled in geriatric care.

From the welcome at the front desk by Anna, or the greeting and help from Eva on the third floor, the conscientious care of Monny, the Nurse Practitioner and Dr. Ticco in his expertise and treatment, my ninety-one year old mother was restored mentally and physically upon her arrival there.

We have had experiences in other facilities and I am happy to say United Hebrew of New Rochelle is an extraordinary place for geriatric care."

C.E.

"I was apprehensive about my hip replacement and recovery because I knew it was going to be a challenge in every way.

What made my recovery special was the people that helped me throughout my eight-day stay. The nurses, aides, physical and occupational therapists were all instrumental. Thanks to all!"
