We are grateful for your support, which helps us enhance our residents’ lives in as many ways as possible. With your support, we can provide an array of activities, therapies, and programs to help our community live their lives to the fullest.

Here are some of the programs your tax-deductible gift supports.

Art & Culture

Help us unleash our residents’ creativity and spark joy. Support our wide array of arts programs which span musical entertainment, educational lectures, and creative art activities including painting, pottery, and arts and crafts. Through art therapy programs, we help stimulate our residents’ minds, lift their spirits, and improve their overall quality of life.

Music therapy

For residents with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia, music provides a vital lifeline. Music therapy is a key piece of dementia care at United Hebrew, and it also provides positive ways for residents to interact with their loved ones and continue to share memories.

Pastoral care program

Our pastoral caregivers provide our residents with compassionate, personal presence when they are experiencing pain, fear, and isolation. They provide words of comfort, prayer, and poetry to our residents in times of need.

Pet therapy

We frequently welcome pet-friendly visitors to our campus to interact with residents, who are encouraged to pet, play, and cuddle with them. These interactions often result in the improved physical, emotional, and mental well-being of our residents.

Beautification

Time spent in natural surroundings create a serene and uplifting environment for our residents. We beautify our halls and common living spaces with lovely arrangements and attractive potted plants. In addition, we maintain landscaped interior courtyards, which extend our residents’ living space outdoors.

Birthday celebrations

It’s always a pleasure to celebrate a resident’s special day in whatever way suits his or her style: a special birthday luncheon, music and dancing, and sweet treats are just some of the ways we help mark birthday milestones.

Entertainment library

We’re always expanding our media library to offer our residents a wide range of books, music, and movies for their enjoyment and relaxation.

Spa days

We want our residents to feel spoiled and relaxed! Spa days provide hands-on healing and care through gentle massage, aromatherapy, and yoga, which foster relaxation, stress reduction, and rejuvenation.

The Trees of Life

The striking wall sculptures in the lobbies of United Hebrew and Willow Towers Assisted Living are vibrant symbols of hope and strength, and provide a fitting way to honor a special person in your life. Like a tree, our campus provides shelter and branches of support—becoming a part of them gives you a lasting way to remember your loved one, while helping residents now and in the years ahead.

We welcome your contribution to our nonprofit senior living community. As healthcare costs escalate and government reimbursements decline, your support is critical to our maintaining the highest level of care for our beloved residents. Philanthropic donations of all sizes ensure that we are able to provide superior care to those less fortunate – today, and in the future.

Planned Giving

Planned giving means that you may provide for a future gift to United Hebrew through your financial and estate plans, which may offer you significant benefits, including financial and tax benefits for you and your family. Options include bequests, revocable trusts, gift annuities, charitable trusts, life insurance, real estate, and more. By making a planned gift, you can directly benefit the residents at United Hebrew, and create a legacy for the future.

Matching Gifts

Corporate matching gift programs can double or even triple the value of your donation to United Hebrew. Check with your employer to see if they offer a matching gift program.

Gifts In Kind

In addition to financial donations, we welcome your gifts-in-kind to our residents. These may include equipment such as wheelchairs, recreational items such as games or music players, or tickets and silent auction items for our gala dinner dance or golf outing.

Restricted Gifts

You may wish to designate your gift to a specific program or service at United Hebrew. We’re happy to discuss options. You may also review our giving opportunities.

Special Events

United Hebrew’s special events help raise funds for the care and support we provide to our residents and their families across our entire campus of comprehensive care. You or your company may choose to sponsor an event, purchase tickets or a table at our annual golf tournament or gala dinner dance.

Creative Ways Of Giving

Throughout the year, companies, community groups, and individuals organize successful fundraising events to benefit United Hebrew. From traditional events, such as a bake sales, golf tournaments, car washes, and loose change drives, to virtual fundraisers via online or social media campaigns, these efforts help bring in donations of all sizes to benefit our residents. They also serve a valuable purpose in that they introduce our campus to new friends, and bring joy to the residents we serve.
